12/3 Blog

Reflect on the class so far. Do you like working in flash? Why or why not?
Respond to one of your classmates

I like working with flash. It is easier this year than last year because of my experience with flash the year before. My teammate is the best guy ever. He is awesome.

Christmas is so close!

I had a great time on my Thanksgiving break. Even though I was very busy I found some spare time to work on our game ideas. Lately, we have been struggling to find an educational point to our game. But, to no avail, I had the best idea ever. Unfortunately I'm going to keep it a secret. :D

Weekly Blog post for 10/29

I have learned that Tower Defense games are harder to make than I originally thought. My partner and I have both experienced coding problems. But in the end, we fix them through the help of the Wiki and other sources. I trust the wiki because it is what Globaloria gave to us to use!

•You should not talk to anyone online outside of the Globaloria community because of security risks.
•Yes.
•Because, so someone doesn't steal our idenity.
◦Because if they have either one of those, they could find out where we live, or take money from us.

Week of 9/27 - 10/1 2010

•What topic and sub-category you would like to design a game for and why?
•What genre does your game fit into?
•Give a brief description of your game
•What is the educational value (what will students learn)?

Our topic relates to computer security, such as things related to viruses. I already know some things about the topic and it would be a fun game to create.

Our game fits under the tower defense genre.

In our game, when you start you will have towers to choose from. They will be your defense against the viruses that are running across your screen. You then place your defense around them, and then they get rid of the viruses.

The educational value of our game is to educate you on viruses and how you can get rid of them.

Welcome

Hey Mrs. Chenoweth,
I am excited to begin Multimedia 2. I hope this year we can make a better game than last years and hopefully win the competition. I hope to help others with code, if they need it.

9/20-9/24

This week we didn't accomplish that much. We did upload part of our games though. The uploading process took longer than usual. We actually have made a lot of progress so far though. We are looking to bring home the hardware and win the competition!

Week of 9/13 - 9/17

This week we began creating our game. It is called, "Are You Protected" ? We are already having a bunch of fun creating it. I have created the start menu, while Jacob has made the first level. We are moving along quite quickly. Sometimes we get sidetracked so that slows down our process, but that can change.

week of aug 30 - sept 3

Hello! Last week we worked on our wiki pages. It is a good thing that our team knows how to do that already from last year's class. We also filmed our Paper Prototype. That is always fun. I am so excited to begin this year by moving along quickly.
