9/20-9/24
This week we didn't accomplish that much. We did upload part of our games though. The uploading process took longer than usual. We actually have made a lot of progress so far though. We are looking to bring home the hardware and win the competition!

Week of 9/13 - 9/17
This week we began creating our game. It is called, "Are You Protected" ? We are already having a bunch of fun creating it. I have created the start menu, while Jacob has made the first level. We are moving along quite quickly. Sometimes we get sidetracked so that slows down our process, but that can change.

Hello! Last week we worked on our wiki pages. It is a good thing that our team knows how to do that already from last year's class. We also filmed our Paper Prototype. That is always fun. I am so excited to begin this year by moving along quickly.

Have you completed any additional Civics Research for your games?
I have done some research on my own time at my house. Just trying to learn about previous political campaigns, and how they make their money.
Have you changed your games, if so what educational value does the game possess?
We have changed our game completely, instead of fighting, we added a game that you run around and collect cash. We felt like it relates better to our topic. We show the player a different view of a campaign race.

We encountered lag in our game, and how the game loads when we added it to our menus and combined our parts.

This week we made our game complete, we are just running into a problem with lag. don't know what to do. Neither does Jacob. We are hoping to get help soon. Other than at, we are tried other games to see what else we can do for individual games.

Nov 30 -- Dec 4
This week I was absent on Nov. 30. Luckily Jacob made some progress on the game while I was absent. When I came back we decided to change our game, even though the game is due December 11. In two days we got the game completed thanks to some tutorials we found on the internet. We are so happy.

This week we ran into some problems. We sent them into the Globaloria people. We have been waiting on the response. I have began brainstorming with myself on some ideas for our individual games. It is a lot to think about. But, with the help of classmates and tutorials it will be a little easier.

This week we got a lot of our game finished. All we need to do is move on to the actual game. We need to decide what our genre is now. Mrs. Chen wants us to get off of the fighting genre because it isn't allowed.

This week we achieved a little bit more on our game. We also had to do this super long blog. Both were tough activities. I can't wait to get our game finished, it is going to be the best.

6.Does your game teach about an ideal of government, a function of government, or about citizenship? Please explain
1. Our game topic is about a different view of a presidental campaign.
2. Our game relates to civics by showing you another way to win a political campaign.
3. First, the start screen will pop up saying “The Political Fight Club.” There will be a button that you click to start. When you click that you will be taken to the instruction screen, there you will learn how to play our game. You will also learn what our game is about. Then you click continue, that will take you to the “Select Your Party” screen. After you choose your party, it will take you to the “Stage Select” screen. After you choose your stage, you can select your character. Once you have done all of that, you will see a biography of your character, get asked a few questions, then you are ready to fight! While you fight you will gain campaign money if you win. If you win, you become president of the United States of America! If you fail to win, you will lose, and the opposite party will defeat you. Along the way you will also be quizzed on random facts about our country, your player, your enemy, and other things.
4. Our game “The Political Fight Club” relates to civics because you learn about the campaigning system, some of our political leaders, and ways you can spend campaign money that you will earn. The ways you learn about the campaign system are that you will win money through fights at real campaign events. Then you will learn about some of our political leaders because along with their fighting traits and stats you will get biography traits such as age, party, campaign slogan, and other facts about the person. Last you will earn and spend your campaign money. You will gain your campaign money through winning fights against other political figures. You will then spend your campaign money on actual campaign things such as a real campaign would spend it on ,but instead of actually buying them they will buy you speed boosts, size boost, jump boosts, or maybe a strength boost.

week in review 10/26-10/30
Last week we worked on our games more. We got our pages to flow better. Our game is starting to look half-way decent. All we need to do now is incorporate the fighting aspect.

Civics-
I found it hard at the beginning to think of a Civics idea, but after thinking for awhile I finally got it. Also, when the Globaloria people came, they helped my team. We also found it easier to choose a topic after playing some other civics games.

Week in Review 10/19-10/23
Well, this week we made a lot of progress. Partly because of the Globaloria people gave us a new idea. We have worked really hard. The coding is still hard though. But we can do it! TEAM ETHNIX!
